Chimpa Fortress

The Chimpa fortress is an archaeological site located on top of a hill with the same name. The ascent of this hill is about 1h30. It is punctuated by breaks under small shelters along the path. The location of this fortress allows you to admire the Colca Valley and its terraces, a pre-Inca and Collaguas heritage, the latter still living in the area. A viewpoint located in the fortress offers one of the most beautiful views of this deep canyon! This place allows us to admire both sides of the canyon in a peaceful and privileged setting.
